ECLAT orgnanises a visit of the dismantling site of the Creys-Malville nuclear power plant, named Superphénix
Superphénix is an old nuclear reactor that used to be working in the nuclear power plant of Creys-Malville. It was a prototype of a breeder reactor with sodium as heat carrier. The reactor is stopped in 1996 after a decision of the government despite the economic viability of the project.
The deconstruction of the site begun after this decision allowed the visit of the reactor building and equipments that are usually closed to public. The visit is an opportunity to learn more about the history and the work of this particular reactor
The visit will be the 28th of January 2017. The ride will be with bus from Lyon.
Subscriptions for the visit are made with ECLAT. A copy of a valid identity piece (identity card or passport only) and the social security system number (the french one that has been given to you by human ressources) will be necessary to register.
A financial participation up to 7€ for the bus will be asked. The visit is free.
